Port Hope Farmers' Market started in 1978 and has only continued to grow throughout the years.  We are a growing vital market, with so many interesting vendors. Come and talk to the person who grows, make or bakes the items you are interested in purchasing. This year we have quite a few new vendors who bring with them a wide variety of gardening experience and expertise and special talents.  Never before have we had so many vendors starting in May with plants of all descriptions from flowering, herbs and vegetable plants. Two new vendors are bringing with them wild mushrooms, fiddleheads, wild leeks and keep in mind that these are a unique short season item . Try something new!  Fresh asparagus, rhubarb and greens start off the season as well as the well stocked pantry of jams and preserves. Honey and maple syrup will help sweeten your panckaes, crepes ,waffles and baking.

We have many gifted atisans, items ranging from beeswax candles, various handmade soaps and spa items to help you relax at home, childrens toys that are built to enjoy and cherish, as well as  home and garden decor.  Every winter our artisans update their array of speciality items and many talents.

Locally grown beef and lamb are available and so many entrees to round out your supper table.  Let us tempt your sweet tooth with our pastries and baked goods and breads from our many bakers.  Handcrafted cheeses will be appearing this year, goat, sheep and cow cheese.

We can even supply you with breakfast while you stroll the aisles of vendors.

Events will be updated soon!

On behalf of the vendors of the Saturday and Wednesday Markets, we are looking forward to meeting you.
